If you were blind and suddenly got your sight back, how would YOU tell your folks?? I love this story because it reveals more about Cale and Satha's relationship, and you also get to see Satha's relationship with her father, whose heart broke when he couldn't protect her from blindness. A seer is the LAST thing they expect in their family!
